🚀 Create your first Top 8

   Go to Create Top 8

   Tap Create Top 8 in the menu or the Create my Top 8 button on Home.

   Choose the game

   Select the tournament's game. If it's not on the list, use Custom and paste the URL of its logo.

   Choose a layout

   It's how the 8 boxes are arranged (Classic, Podium, Grid, Hero…). You can change it later.

   Start creating

   Press Start creating →. You'll see the preview at the top and the editing sections beside it (or below it on mobile).

⚡ Import results from start.gg

If your tournament is on start.gg, Top8Maker fills in the names, teams, tournament name, game and date for you.

   Copy the link

   Copy the link to the event (start.gg/tournament/…/event/…) or the tournament. The event must be finished.

   Paste it in Create

   In step 3. Have a start.gg link? on the start screen, paste it. If the tournament has several events, choose one.

   Review and done

   The 8 players appear in order. All that’s left is choosing characters and a design.

Verified badge: an imported Top 8 shows “This tournament comes from…” and the verified badge as long as you don't change the names or tags. If you edit them, it's saved without verification.

🎮 Players and characters

Open the Players section and tap each slot to edit it:

• Name and Team: the player's tag and their team or sponsor (optional).
• Character: type in the search box (e.g. “ryu”) and pick from the list. The image shows up instantly in the preview.
• Your own image: paste the URL of an image. If it is from another site, you must have the right to use it (see Terms).
• Character name: shown on a ribbon under the player. It's filled in automatically when you pick from the search; you can type it by hand or leave it empty to hide the ribbon.
• Scale and position: enlarge or move the character with the sliders. You can also drag it directly in the preview.
• Slot background (with an account): a color or a background image. With an image you can choose Black & white or Color and its Opacity. With an image, the color is disabled; remove it with × to go back to the color. You can also upload your own images in My backgrounds.

🎨 Theme, colors and fonts

• Theme: pick a palette with one tap. It changes all the colors at once.
• Colors by part: adjust separately the background, the slots, the shadow under the name, the player's name, the team, the placements, the character ribbon (background and text) and the tournament info.
• Background image: an image behind the whole graphic, with opacity, position and zoom.
• Font: the font for the names and the footer.
• Placements: 6 styles (Ribbon, Circle, Corner, Minimal, Flag and Big number), and you can change the text (e.g. “CHAMPION” instead of “1ST”).

🏆 Tournament info

In Tournament info enter the name, game, date and creator. They're shown in the graphic's footer next to the Top8Maker logo and the game's logo. If a text is long, it shrinks automatically to fit.

⬇️ Export the image

Choose the resolution and press ⬇ Export PNG:

• 1080 × 1350: ideal for Instagram, X and Discord.
• 2160 × 2700: twice as sharp, for printing or large screens.

💡 If an image doesn't show up in the PNG, its site doesn't allow copying it. Try another URL or upload it as a file.

💾 Save, publish and share

• Save project: with a verified account your Top 8s are kept in My projects so you can edit them anytime (up to 50 projects).
• Publish: from the editor or from My projects you can make a Top 8 public so it appears in the Home gallery. Every project starts out private.
• Duplicate: makes a copy so you can reuse a design.
• Reset: goes back to the start screen to begin a new Top 8.
